County Durham Injury Clinic

Shelley Routledge-Dowell BSc Hons MSTO

After graduating from Teesside University with a 1st class honours degree in Sports Therapy, Shelley Routledge-Dowell set up originally as a mobile manual therapy service in April 2016, working in the Bishop Auckland, Barnard Castle and County Durham area. As interest in the business grew, it became apparent that the business would need a base for clients to attend. As of July 2017,  County Durham Injury Clinic (CDIC) set up a clinic based in Hamsterley, County Durham.

CDIC provides Musculoskeletal, Sports Therapy, Manual Therapy and Sports Massage treatments to the sporty and non sporty alike, helping clients to restore and maintain movement. To see what CDIC can do for you, click Treatments.

Shelley is a member of the Sports Therapy Organisation (STO), the UK's premier association for professional Sports Therapists, Sports injury, Sports massage and soft tissue therapists. She regularly takes part in CPD lectures, seminars and workshops, along with other research into sports and physical therapy topics to keep up to date with treatments and practice. This gives you peace of mind that you are receiving professional, quality care by a fully qualified, professional therapist.

Outside of the clinic Shelley loves being outdoors and on the go! A keen cyclist, (mainly mountain biking), hiker and snowboarder she loves to spend her time in the mountains and fells as much as possible. She also enjoys paddle boarding, climbing and running too and up until recently rode and competed horses.
